From her initial architecture study, Faezeh Afchary maintains a sense of rigor. And from her native Iran, she brings a delicate love of words and poetry. Borne of this duality is her highly sensitive oeuvre.

The artist works on porcelain-paper that she refines almost to its breaking point. Her lines are pure yet without rigidity. Bearing the organic touch of her hand. ... Faezeh confides verses of Persian poets.

By a play of assemblage, but also through motifs, texts and poems, Faezah's sculptures evolve toward the creation of ever more minimal, pure objects. She discards color, privileges writing, and based on her culture and experience builds universal metaphorical poetic figures.
